Karayolları Genel Müdürlüğünün misafiri olarak Türkiye'ye gelen inşaat mühendisi Amerikalı,

Kayseri'den geçerken yol çalışması görür ve arabasını durdurur.

Fakat yoldaki eşek nereye doğru yol alırsa orası genişletilip yol yapılmaktadır.

Hemen bunun niye böyle yapıldığını sorar.

Kayserili: 'Bu bizim mehendisimizdir beyim. Eşşek nereye giderse orayı genişletip yol yaparık' diye cevap verir

.Katıla katıla gülmeye başlayan Amerikalı mühendis
'Peki eşeği bulamasaydınız ne yapacaktınız' diyince

Kayserili yapıştırır cevabı: 'O zaman Amerika'dan mehendis getirtirdik'
