Karaosmanzâde Câvide Hayri Hanimefendi'ye

Zannetme ki güldür, ne de lâle
Âteş doludur, tutma yanarsın
Karşında şu gülgûn piyâle...

Içmişti Fuzuli bu alevden,
Düşmüştü bu iksir ile Mecnûn
Şi'rin sana anlattığı hâle...

Yanmakta bu sağârdan içenler,
Doldurmuş onunçün şeb-i aşkı
Baştanbaşa efgân ile nâle...

Âteş doludur, tutma yanarsın
Karşında şu gülgûn piyâle!..
